Global Medical Academy is registered under the Societies Registration Act, 1860, and is affiliated with the Institute of Medical Science and Research, Mumbai. We operate as an autonomous institute — our certificate and diploma courses are designed for knowledge and skill development, not formal university or statutory accreditation, and we're upfront about that distinction with every applicant before they enroll.

That structure is deliberate. It lets us run shorter, sharply-scoped programs — two months for a single specialty, rather than a multi-year residency — aimed at graduates who already hold a medical qualification and want a structured way to strengthen one area of their practice.

Every course is delivered through live, instructor-led online lectures for the full duration of the program, closing with an online MCQ exam that has to be passed to complete the course. We hold to the view that a clinician who understands the underlying principles of a condition adapts better at the bedside than one who has only memorised a protocol — so the exam exists to check that the understanding actually took hold, not just attendance.

MBBS, BHMS, BAMS and BUMS graduates are all eligible for any course on this site — certificate or diploma. We don't require a specific specialty background beyond the base medical qualification; the courses are built to bring a general practitioner up to a working, exam-tested standard in that clinical area.
